Learn to draw, n00b

Tue Mar 4, 2008, 10:56 PM
So I've been regularly sketching in the evenings in lieu of homework. Personally, I am seeing remarkable progress. Most of this is in my consistency. I may not be very good with the whole proportions thing just yet, but at least I'm now getting to the point where I can make my hand draw the line I'm trying to draw. It's a start! I'm impatient to get to the part where I can, y'know, add details. Like faces.

... oh god won't that be a fun couple months.

Ahem!

Anyway, there is also an important note I want to leave here:

I am a horrible person.

I scan the web and devArt for references for a lot of the things I draw, and I'm a horrible person and fail to note when I actually do this. The long and short of it is that a lot of my scraps are based on art that appears somewhere else and it's uncredited. I feel horrible about this, but I just don't save links or images, so I have no real way to track these down.

Important: If you see something that looks similar to a piece of your art, please Note me. I will be able to confirm with you if it's from what you think it is (I have a decent memory for that, at least!) and I'll be more than happy to add an attribution and thank you or remove the piece entirely with my sincerest apologies.

you got some nice human figures. I love drawing dogs but humans I'm bad at.

Showing Australian shepherds is a way of life and it's ewe so great! ^_^
:iconarrowfox:
Thanks. :)

Drawing humans is a totally new thing for me, and you should see the number of figures and half-started sketches I have that I -didn't- post. :D

Just got to get to the faces now... :9

Modern anything is awfully Flash Gordon in appearance, I like to look cool, but seriously, form follows function.

Thankyou very much for adding me! :thanks:

It is my pleasure! :iconcatharsisjb: mentioned your work in a journal of hers, and I fell in love with your leather work. It's amazing! I love the medieval theme as much as I love the way the things themselves look.

Thankyou! Being a GD makes it so I can't add to my gallery as often, but leatherwork is so time-consuming that my submissions were pretty irregular anyway. I won't have my next one done for another month or so, hope you like it! :aww:
