Learn to draw, n00b

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 4, 2008, 11:56 PM
So I've been regularly sketching in the evenings in lieu of homework. Personally, I am seeing remarkable progress. Most of this is in my consistency. I may not be very good with the whole proportions thing just yet, but at least I'm now getting to the point where I can make my hand draw the line I'm trying to draw. It's a start! I'm impatient to get to the part where I can, y'know, add details. Like faces.

... oh god won't that be a fun couple months.

Ahem!

Anyway, there is also an important note I want to leave here:

I am a horrible person.

I scan the web and devArt for references for a lot of the things I draw, and I'm a horrible person and fail to note when I actually do this. The long and short of it is that a lot of my scraps are based on art that appears somewhere else and it's uncredited. I feel horrible about this, but I just don't save links or images, so I have no real way to track these down.

Important: If you see something that looks similar to a piece of your art, please Note me. I will be able to confirm with you if it's from what you think it is (I have a decent memory for that, at least!) and I'll be more than happy to add an attribution and thank you or remove the piece entirely with my sincerest apologies.

Say hello, gallery!

So after sitting on this devspace for a few months, I've finally decided to upload a few things. For the most part, they're gonna be scraps. I've been sketching but I'm still not happy enough with any of them to want to ink and color. I might go ahead and do some digital inking/coloring to a few of the better ones, which I'll put up as deviations, but... don't hold your breath or anything.

Learning to draw is a slow process. :/
